Competitions for hairdressers are the equivalent of the oscars for Hollywood, it's where you can show-off your talent, skill and creativity and be recognised and awarded by an industry that has come to showcase some of the countries most talented names. 

A hairstylist is required to have skill, technique and creativity amongst all the other elements that are part of the recepie for a successful hairdresser. However, it is in a compeition that a stylist has the opportunity to push the boundaries, break the rules and get creative on a whole new level.

Alfaparf Milano, the internationally renowned Italian luxury hair product company, awarded The Fantastic Hairdresser Awards 2011 to nine winners at a gala presentation attended by Ireland's leading hair stylists at the Silver Springs Maron Hotel, Cork on November 6th.

The L’Oreal Colour Trophy uniquely combines fashion, inspiration, creativity and innovative live hairdressing into a spectacular and credible competition. The Grand Final is a gala event boasting breathtaking shows and the hairdressing calibre of live hairdressing Ireland has to offer.

Established eleven years ago by Irish HAIRDRESSER International magazine, the Irish Hair Photographic annual awards offer a range of categories including: Best Colour Image, Best Editorial Image, Best Avant Garde Image, Best Men’s Image, Best Fashion Image, Best Commercial Image, Best Bridal Image, Best Long Hair Image.
